Rembaum Hanau is a collaboration between designers Sharon Rembaum and Cecile Hanau. As natives of England and France, Rembaum and Hanau share an appreciation of the enduring and refined aesthetic that anchors European architecture and design. This shared sensibility grounds their work in interiors and curation, lending a distinctly attuned approach.

Sharon Rembaum
Sharon Rembaum is an award-winning interior designer with a global perspective and deep appreciation for history and culture.
Sharon was born and raised in London, England, where she began a 20-year career in broadcast journalism at the BBC. She moved to Israel Television in Jerusalem and then KCRW, the Los Angeles NPR affiliate. After covering some of the most significant stories of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Sharon left journalism and completed the UCLA Interior Architecture and Design program to pursue a lifelong passion for artistic expression.
Sharon moved to New York in 2014 and started a boutique design firm that specialized in carefully curated spaces. Her practice incorporated an eclectic mix of modern, vintage, and antique furniture, and unique design elements from a global community of artists and craftspeople. Sharon’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor and House Beautiful, as well as multiple design and art books.

Cécile Hanau
Cécile is a French native with a passion for textiles and design. She moved to New York after studying at the Camondo School in Paris and continued her studies at the Parsons School of Design. In New York, Cécile built a successful career at The House of Scalamandré, Covington Industries as Director of woven fabrics, and as Creative Director for renowned licensees in the home textile industry.
After leading hospitality projects for the Wynn Las Vegas and the Bowery Hotel in NY, she established herself as a design consultant for both private clients and architects. Well versed in the decorative arts of Europe and the Americas, and with an informed understanding of the decorative themes of different historical periods, Cécile helps clients mix pieces from different countries and centuries to create tasteful, personalized, and bespoke living environments.
